This courseware is designed for new users who require fundamental knowledge and skills of Autodesk® Raster Design software to create, insert, manage, and edit raster images in AutoCAD®-based products. Using this courseware, students learn to use the features and functions of Autodesk Raster Design software. The courseware topics are fundamental to pursuing more advanced topics in the future.

Objectives
The primary objective of this courseware is for students to learn the basic functionality of Autodesk Raster Design software and through practice, learn how to create, insert, manage, and edit raster data with Autodesk Raster Design. After completing this courseware, students will be able to:

  • Tile, save, and export images.
  • Work with multispectral images.
  • Correlate and rubbersheet images.
  • Enhance the appearance of images.
  • Edit images.
  • Work with DEM data.

Who Should Attend
This courseware is designed to teach new users the essential elements of Autodesk Raster Design.

Prerequisites
It is recommended that the student complete the AutoCAD Essentials course or know how to use AutoCAD software to create basic geometry, manage layers, enter commands, and manage files. It is recommended that the student have a working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® XP, Microsoft® Windows® 2000, or Microsoft® Windows® NT 4.0.
